My Approach
I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship(s) cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.
I work with my clients to get in touch with their body’s needs because I understand that life happens and your needs will change. I want to equip you with the self-awareness to make the best decisions for yourself in any given circumstance. I believe each person is fully capable of making well-informed decisions as their own expert, not the latest magazine article or fad diet book.
Let’s define what you value most from your well-being. We’ll use these visions to motivate specific goals that bring you closer to where you want to be. As your coach, I will not dictate a diet for you, but together we will explore why some foods make you feel better than others and how to strategically use that feedback. Together we’ll co-create your health goals within reasonable time frames and actionable objectives so you know exactly what you’re working toward.
Integrative Nutrition Plate†
The Integrative Nutrition Plate emphasizes the importance of local and organic produce, whole grains, high-quality proteins, plant-based fats, and water. It shows you how a plate should appear at mealtime and emphasizes the importance of proportions and portion size. To complete the picture, the plate is surrounded with lifestyle factors that create optimal health: relationship, career, physical activity and spirituality. I’ll introduce you to some of the healthiest foods on the planet and teach you how to find what’s healthiest for your unique body!
Primary Food†
It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It’s not just the food we eat that affects our health, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity, and a spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment. When these primary foods are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. I will support you in achieving all of your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life.
Bio-IINdividuality*
The concept of Bio-IINndividuality is the idea that each of us has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background.
Crowding Out††
Many nutrition experts give their clients a list of foods to avoid and foods to eat, which explains why so many people are turned off by nutrition. My approach is different – by eating and drinking foods that are good for you, you will naturally have less room and desire for unhealthy foods. Simply put, you will crowd out the unhealthy food in your diet. This takes a little practice to make happen, but I will support you along the way.
Deconstructing Cravings††
Cravings play a critical role in understanding what your body needs and shouldn’t be ignored. When you learn how to deconstruct your cravings and understand what they’re really telling you, you will be able to reclaim a sense of balance and harmony.

My Story
Hey friends!
My name is Shaira and I'm a wife, mom, and follower of Jesus. I grew up outside of Paradise, MT on a small family ranch. My childhood consisted of following my mom around the garden, chasing cows, and horseback riding in the mountains. After I graduated high school, I became a Wildland Fire Dispatcher for the State of Montana DNRC. I spent 6 years with them, talking on the radio, going on fire assignments around the country, and meeting amazing people. During that time, I married my husband in 2018 and in December of 2020, we welcomed our son, Kai, into the world.
Pregnancy and the first months of motherhood were a wild ride for me. I struggled with anxiety, depression, & OCD/Trich prior to and throughout my entire pregnancy, and for us, the journey was not over yet. At 6 weeks old, Kai was diagnosed with a rare cancer, neuroblastoma. We spent almost four months in Seattle where he went through four cycles of chemotherapy. During that time, I knew I didn't want to return to work and wanted to be home with him, so I started looking at jobs where I could work from home. One of the things I loved about being a Wildland Fire Dispatcher was knowing that I was helping people, whether it be the engines and firefighters on the ground, fire aircraft in the air, or people in their homes when fire seasons were blowing up. After some research, I found Health Coaching.
Because of my son's cancer journey, and other family members and friends who have been affected by cancer, I've made it a lifestyle to be more intentional about what we consume and put in our bodies. Food IS medicine and it has the ability to heal us all the way down to our DNA and influence our genetics.
By educating and guiding others to a healthier lifestyle that they can apply and love, it is my hope to reduce the risk of disease and chronic illnesses for our family's children and everyone else's, and teach others to live in a constant state of self-improvement and growth. Utilizing what I learned in IIN, I found freedom from anxiety, depression, and OCD, and was able to increase my son’s success in recovery from chemo.
It is now my passion to help other moms balance life, motherhood, and wellness so they can do the same: take care of themselves, set up a foundation of health for their families, and thrive in motherhood. With my knowledge, we will co-create completely personalized actions based on your goals to move you toward your ideal vision of health within your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and resources.
As a coach, I put the power back in YOUR hands. Are you ready to get the personalized support you need? Want to connect with me and learn more? Schedule a FREE discovery call with me today!
Client Testimonials
“I highly recommend Shaira's health coaching if you are looking to improve your overall health. She intentionally works with you to achieve your goals whether that be to loose weight, gain muscle, improve energy, or control hunger/binge eating etc. She listens to your concerns on a weekly basis and checks in with you regularly. She is super passionate about leading others on their journey to improve their health. If that isn't enough, when I started with Shaira I weighed 198 pounds and my goal was to loose weight and improve my eating habits. Shaira curated a plan that would put me in a calorie deficit and still meet my nutrition goals ( I mostly eat vegetarian), and we changed my dietary plan almost 3 times throughout this time. Within three months I weighed 185!! Most of this was done through eating and moderate exercise. And each week and step of the way Shaira was there to change what was not working and adjust what needed to be. And the results show. I thought I couldn't do it, but Shaira helped me see it was possible!”
— Nikka G.
“I really enjoyed working with Shaira! I previously had lost control of my overall health and wellness in the postpartum season and she helped break things down into manageable changes. I’d recommend Shaira to anyone wanting to improve their overall wellness without spending a fortune on supplements or outlandish goals that can’t be maintained once your program time has ended. I feel set up for success moving forward to continue being the healthiest version of myself.”
— Alexandra B.
“I had the BEST time working with Shaira through my pregnancy and postpartum. She was kind and helpful during all of my sessions and in between sessions. She always had knowledgeable and clear communication and information for me and my program was very individualized to my current and future needs. I highly recommend working with Shaira for any health/life coaching needs!! Especially for those who are pregnant/postpartum/first-time mamas!”
— Sarah L.
“I reached out to Shaira when I found out I was expecting twins while already raising two toddlers. Needing help to take some of the mental load off, she created weekly meal plans designed to support me (and my family) in a nutritious prenatal based, high protein diet the very same day we talked. The recipes are easy to follow, delicious and she even creates a shopping list so I was able to get started immediately. She checks in frequently and through her user friendly app I’m able to track progress and have a sense of accountability. She has been wonderfully invested not just in my progress but my overall well being. Shaira is more than a health coach, she’s a mother too who understands the wild world of family life and is super personable. Working with Shaira is like working with a lifelong friend who is 100% supportive, 100% effective and 0% judgy. My iron levels are ideal for a twin pregnancy (my anemia is gone), I have energy to keep up with my two little ones, and I feel the best I have in any of my other pregnancies. I’m incredibly grateful to Shaira for all her resources, knowledge and availability to help me along, I couldn’t have had such healthy pregnancy thus far without her. If you’re looking for someone willing to pour their heart and effort into you and your goals, Shaira is the GOAT.”
— Anonymous Mama
“Do you want someone who supports you in everyday life struggles? Yes! Great. Hire Shaira now for hormone balancing, a realistic food balance (you can still eat your favorite foods and reach your goals), stress management, and a good friend! Shaira has helped me in ways I didn’t think I needed help in. Like, how much PROTEIN is soooooo important to your overall health. Shaira was able to bring in her own past experiences and current life situations to help me better understand my life. I tend to stress a lot and being able to reach out to Shaira about my issues helped a lot. (When you sign up for her [Health Coaching] program. You’re able to reach out to her 24/7) In the process I was able to make a really good friend out of it. Shaira was so kind and even recorded a podcast with me about how to balance your hormones like a BOSS! Follow her instagram page as well because she has such great videos about a good life balance. (Plus, she has some funny videos on there as well!) Thank you Shaira for the fun. I can’t wait until next time.”
